A 4.5 metre diameter turntable hired from British Turntable helped Ford + Barley Exhibitions design an exciting hospitality area into the Synseal stand at the recent Glassex exhibition.
By mounting a fully-built conservatory unit with simple room setting on the turntable and setting it to revolve slowly, Ford + Barley created an oasis of calm and quiet within the large (20m x 7m) hospitality area of the stand, where customers were able to take a break from the hustle and bustle of a very busy show and see what Synseal had to offer.
Sean Beavers of Ford + Barley comments: "Synseal wanted something out of the ordinary for their stand and asked us to design movement into it. British Turntable has an excellent reputation for service and reliability, so we always use their revolves; we were not disappointed. On contacting them for advice, giving them details of what we wanted to do, we were quickly recommended the 4.5 metre unit as it would cope with the weight and movement of visitors. The size, specification and, importantly, the price were right, and everyone was delighted with the result. This was particularly apparent from our clients at Synseal, who had not used a revolve in this way before."
The Olympian 4.5 metre revolve chosen is available from British Turntable's standard range of display turntables. Normally used in car showrooms to revolve a vehicle, it is built in a modular format, making it easy and quick to assemble without any special tools. It is also extremely robust. Ford + Barley added the style by decking the revolve in a parquet laminate to match and complement the main stand décor.
