About Us
Movetech UK, a trading name of British Turntable Co. Ltd, is a global leader in high quality engineered movement and handling solutions.

Since 1959 we have been designing and manufacturing high performance vehicle turntables, whether it’s for small cars, HGVs, construction traffic, or even military vehicles and aircraft, we have unrivalled expertise and experience in this field.

As well as commercial and industrial turntables, Movetech UK design and manufacture air film equipment for industries such as nuclear and aerospace, where we have been moving large loads on an almost frictionless film of air for over 40 years.

For the film/TV and exhibition industries we offer a range of revolving stages and smaller display turntables, all of which are available on short or long-term rental, or to purchase from stock.

Movetech UK was established in 1959 as Bolton Turntable Co Ltd, by Bolton businessman John C Entwistle

Movetech UK was initially founded in 1959 as Bolton Turntable Co Ltd, by the late John C Entwistle, who was very well-known in Bolton and throughout the northwest.

John, a Bolton businessman, worked hard to build the business, and was extremely committed to putting Bolton on the business map, which he did a great job of, helping his, and many other businesses and individuals along the way.

A single request for a car turntable, in a Bolton showroom, was the first turntable to be produced – and even though this was a novel idea at the time, even Worldwide, the company has certainly prospered and evolved significantly ever since.

With a vast product range now offering over 200 off-the-shelf products, in addition to a wide range of bespoke industrial movement solutions – the company has certainly prospered over the last 60+ years.

A family run business, in the heart of Bolton (UK), with over 60 years of British manufacturing success!

As a family run business, in the heart of Bolton, we have never rested on our laurels, and have always strived to improve everything we do, because we strongly believe growing and sustaining a successful business, especially for over 60 years, takes more than just passion and pride alone.

The company is now run by John’s son, Tim Entwistle (Managing Director), alongside his brother Russell Entwistle (Operations Director) and Technical Sales Director; Craig Wright – with a team of dedicated and talented professionals behind them.

Our longevity and success in business mirrors our ability to understand and anticipate the needs of customers and clients, revolutionising and adapting to the environments around us, in response to a continuously changing World.

60+ years of manufacturing success is built on a strong foundation of six core values. ‘Family values‘ is one of the principles we strongly stand by, and we believe these values in unison are essential to realising our vision and can only be achieved when every key value is rooted throughout every level of the business.
