Movement technology specialist Movetech UK (Part of the British Turntable Group) has underlined its commitment to advancing its skilled personnel by continuing to invest in the future. Over the last several years the company has continued to expand its workforce and this has frequently involved enrolling young and talented apprentices by offering them an opportunity to achieve their full potential.

In December 2016, Jack Farrimond, joined the Bolton based company on a formal Business Administration apprenticeship scheme through Alliance Learning, Horwich. Movetech UK offered Jack the role as an Internal Office Administrator to help boost his sales and administration skills throughout the process, and even though he had no formal administration experience at the time, Jack brought with him a mass of customer focused knowledge, gained from his years in the retail sector.

Since his arrival, Jack has continued to demonstrate his attentiveness towards his day-to-day administration and sales skills and has also represented a strong and determined attitude to succeed in every task he undertakes. He’s proved that he is a valuable and hardworking team member and has shown his commitment to the company by also continuously improving his product and customer knowledge.

Last month (April 2018), after months of hard work and determination, Jack successfully completed his Intermediate Apprenticeship in Business administration – gaining an NVQ Level 2 certification in Business Administration.

“It’s great to know I’m part of an immensely dedicated team, I’ve worked very hard over the last several months, and I have gained a lot of knowledge and know-how in the process. By receiving my NVQ completion certificate proves that I am working hard, but I couldn’t have done it without the help and support from everyone at Movetech UK” said Jack.

He then went on to say: “Completing my Level 2 NVQ in Business Administration has given me a real sense of success and accomplishment, I can’t thank the company enough for that, and I would also like to thank everyone at Alliance Learning who have also supported me along the way.

“I’m unquestionably looking forward to the future and aside from all the hands-on work, I anticipate to continue educating myself and work towards improving my administration and sales skills which will benefit both the company, and myself, in the future.”

Movetech UK’s Technical Sales Director, Craig Wright commented: “Jack has proven he is more than capable of completing his every day work as well as completing his apprenticeship course at the same time. Over the last twelve months I have noticed Jack has gained a great deal of confidence and has also impressed me with his vastly improved product knowledge.”

Craig then added: “We have an excellent relationship with Alliance Learning and we’re always very impressed with the service they provide for both us as a company and our apprentices.

“They have helped us hugely in formalising Jack’s apprenticeship scheme, offering Jack a structured path that will lead to formal qualifications, serving him, and us, better in the future.”
