When visual display specialists Made You Look required a turntable for their exhibition stand at the VM & Display Show held at the Business Design Centre in Islington, they turned to Movetech UK for help. The result was an exhibition stand that attracted thousands of visitors throughout the show and amazed everyone who saw it.

Movetech UK’s brief from Made You Look was to do exactly as their name states, to make people look. With the design of the vibrant mannequin displays already well under way, Made You Look came up with the idea to place their display on a revolving turntable from Movetech UK’s retail display range, knowing the unit would undoubtedly help give their display that extra wow factor.

Made You Look wanted to show how a different coloured background and mannequin covers within the same display could give a totally different look, this is where the idea to use a turntable came from – by displaying two separate displays in one, but with the rotation of the turntable allowing both of the displays to be observed from every angle.

Kamil Winogrodzki, Movetech UK’s Internal Sales Co-Ordinator said: “Made You Look wanted their display to stand out from the crowd, and as movement attracts attention, I proposed the use one of our small mini carousel revolving turntables, as this would be the ideal solution to display their fantastic display, giving it a full 360 degrees of limelight which it deserves.”

Kamil then went on to say: “Even though Made You Look create such attractive eye-catching displays, this specific exhibit was a ‘reveal’ type display, so there was a good reason for adding movement – it also added an element of surprise to the overall display which I thought was a great idea.

“We have learned over the years that movement always helps to attract attention, whether it’s in an exhibition hall or a shopping centre, by adding movement to a display, it is always going to attract more attention than a static display would.”

Helen Goodwin of Made You Look commented: “We supplied Movetech UK with our requirements for our proposed project and they were easily able to specify a suitable solution by supplying us with one of their small carousel turntables from their retail display range.

“The turntable Movetech UK supplied was exactly the specification we required, and after consulting with us on the phone as to the application, we had all the confidence we needed to work with them on this specific project.

Helen then went on to say: “From the testing stages right up to the end of the exhibition, the turntable performed effortlessly and it was clear it was more than capable of rotating our exhibition display, the revolve executed the job perfectly and worked exactly the way we wanted it to do.

“We are extremely pleased the exhibition was a success, and if we ever required the use of a turntable in any of our future projects we will without a doubt be very happy to work with Movetech UK again.”
