Good Turn for Fine Art Sculptures

News

British Turntable’s PS5 turntables are helping Castle Galleries sell their fine art sculptures in prestigious department stores across the UK using attractive plinth display units designed and manufactured by Enigma Shopfitting Ltd.

Castle Galleries specialises in limited edition and original art from the country’s most collectable artists. “On this occasion Castle Galleries asked us to design and manufacture something that would display sculpture and have movement to it,” explains Steve Keeling, Project Manager at Enigma. “We found that the PS5 turntables were ideal for this; by installing them into a plinth unit they allowed the sculptures to turn gracefully, catching the ambient light and showing off each piece’s elegant lines to perfection.

“An added bonus is that the turntables were available with either battery or mains power, so we weren’t restricted to having them sited near a power source. <

“We have now incorporated these units in fit-outs at Harrods, Knightsbridge, London; House of Fraser, Oxford Street, London; Mermaid Quay, Cardiff Bay; Princes Square, Glasgow, to name but a few, where they have been extremely well received.

The small point-of-purchase turntables chosen by Enigma are available off the shelf from British Turntable’s standard range of display products, which now number more than 100. The range is popular with large and small retailers as the movement adds interest, value and integrity to the product.

Units in the British Turntable range include small battery and powered point of purchase revolves, oscillators and pendulum movement as well as large rotary carousels capable of carrying heavy white goods or furniture. They can be combined to create more complex displays, and optional extras such as static centres, oscillation, timed or positional hesitation add interest and appeal.
